boys

What are little boys made of?

Snips and Snails,

And puppy dog tails,

That's what little boys are made of!

(I think we forgot SNAKES)

Scorpions

Scorpions had an awesome season this year. They started out a little rusty but at the end I was wishing they could play all summer long. They were so fun to see the improvement from getting killed in a game to killing it.
Half way through the season Jace decided he didn't want to just play goalie anymore (although he is so good at it) So he started playing midfield as well. He got pretty good at it and it also started to make him a better goalie as well.

Jace has such a great kick, it goes exactly where he wants it every time.

Doing what he does best! GOALIE

Jace has grown so much as a goalie this year. He has gotten much better at diving and is super quick. He is really good under pressure (although he hates it) which makes him great at saving those penalty kicks. I don't think one penalty kick made it passed him this year.

Go Rockies

This will probably be Gage's attire for the next month or so.

He wears it all day long, carry around his mitt and ball, wanting anyone and everyone to play catch with him.

I don't know how we are going to keep up with this kid. He wants to play EVERY sport possible. He has played soccer already this year, now baseball, then football in the summer/fall and basketball in the winter. He also wants to play tennis, golf, swim and whatever else he can think of. I think we are going to have to make him pick and choose because some overlap each other and I don't think I have time or money for everything. On the other hand, it is super fun to see Gage's drive to become good at whatever he does. He truly loves to be active and I think there is nothing more healthy then constantly moving and improving.

Wellsville Mile

Gage sitting with his class, getting ready for the big race.

Not only was it fun to come watch Jace run this year, I also got to watch 2 of my neices run and 2 of my nephews run as well, along with one of Jace's long time friend that moved to a different school.
My nephew Ethan (also, Jace's best friend) making his second lap.
Ethan was so cute, when he ran by we cheered him on and he when he heard us, he threw his fist up in the air. What a cutie pie! Luv him.

Ethan was completly relaxed before he raced...he kept on trying to pose to the camera.

This is Jace's other cousin Cole just about ready to cross the finish line.

My neice Addason making her second lap...she didn't seem like the run was fazing her at all.

Tylee getting ready for her big run, she can put on a pretty cute smile for being so nervous.

Tylee making her second lap

Addason right before her run.

Jace and Grandma Debbie.

Jace met up with his very best friend (Ty Parker) from before even preschool... these two have a special bond, they can go months without talking or seeing each other. Then once they get to hang out,it seems like they haven't missed a beat. They wouldn't leave each others side during the event.

Jace and Ty lining up to run...Ty's face is so funny...not quite sure what he has got himself into.

On your mark, get set, GO!!!

Racing to the finish line! He beat his time from last year by over a minute and beat is personal record during practice by 15 seconds! He was one proud boy! (and we were 2 super proud parents)

Second lap, still going strong!

This year the Wellsville mile was a whole new experience. Not only was Jace going to run it but he was counting down the days. He was so excited. Every day for a whole month he would come home and tell us what his time was while practicing the mile at school. In no way was Jace going to win or break any records.. except his own (and thats all that mattered).

Easter

The boys woke up to just one easter egg on the counter with a note, which led them to several different places in the house, each place had a little treat along with the next clue as to where to go next. They ended up in the garage and found a very special surprise. I big pool for all of us to enjoy this summer. They have been wanting one for several years. They must have been really good this year to be able to get this. They wanted to set it up that day. (CRAZY) We told they had to wait at least until school was out. Hopefully we won't still have snow on the ground by then. I know the boys will live in the pool this year so stop on by if you ever need something to do or if you just need to cool down!

(PS...yes they are in their underwear, thats what they like to sleep in and on Easter morning there is no time to get dressed)

Cache Valley Competition

The night before the competition, my mom sent this to me. First Event. 2.2 mile race! Running is my weakest thing ever! I did not even compare to these amazing, fast runners! Something to work on I guess!
Pretty happy the run was over with. I knew I would do better at the next 2 events.
Event 2. As many rounds in 10 minutes as possible.

1 round consists of 5 pull-up, 10 push-ups & 15 squats.

I took 1st place in this event doing 11 rounds!

Squats
pull-ups
more pull-ups
Push-ups (hands had to come up at the bottom, so your chest hit the floor)
and even more pull-ups
Stay warm and refueling for my last event
Event 3

3 rounds of:

12 deadlifts (95lbs)

12 Kettlebell swings (35lbs)

12 burpees

finish as fast as you can!

Deadlifts
Kettlebell swings
Burpees...finished 2nd on this event. My time was 4 minute 28 seconds.

Missed first place by 8 seconds...DANGIT!!

The best cheerleader/coach in the whole world. He screamed louder then anyone in the whole building.

A huge thank you to some of my family that came and watched
Thank you

Also, there were a lot of friends that helped me prepare for this and some that were so encouraging at the event. I couldn't have done it without all of my friends
