Josh and I have been looking to get a dog for quite some time. We knew we wanted a bigger dog but we were not sure which breed. We read up on all sorts of breeds and loved the idea of a Massif. They seemed to be just what we were looking for. A lazy but loyal dog that is one of the best breeds for kids. So then we started searching and on the Internet for the perfect mastiff. The only think holding us back was the potty training! This was about a year ago, and we've been searching ever since. Last week we decided to check around again on the Internet to see if anything would catch our eye.....and there was Bella, a 9 month old Massif that was completely potty trained, beautiful. We called about her and got as much details as we could. We felt like she was the one we had been waiting for. We didn't tell the kids about her, loaded them up in the car and told them we had to go get something. You should have seen their faces when they saw her. She took to them right away as well. On the drive home she felt that she was still small enough (120 lbs) to be a lap dog and rode on Clay's lap the whole time. He couldn't have been happier. We have now had Bella for a week. She is the most gentle, lazy, easy going dog I have ever seen. I think she sleeps like 18 hrs a day. She wakes the kids up in the mornings and whines when they leave for school. She follows us around the house and lays down to sleep at our feet. The boys use her as a pillow when watching TV and she loves every minute of it. This picture does not give her justice on how big she really is. Welcome Bella!
